CNA2 Acute

registerclass scheduleCertified Nursing Assistant 2 – Acute Care (CNA2)

Job Description
CNA2s are CNAs trained to a deeper and more specialized level. CNA2 Acute Care training is focused on the knowledge and skills needed to work in hospitals and other acute care settings. Many hospitals expect their CNAs to be trained to this level. CNA2s assist licensed nursing personnel in these settings in the provision of nursing care, providing opportunities for optimal client independence and supporting behaviors that promote positive healing.

Nursing Assistant 2 Acute Care Curriculum spells out a level of knowledge, skills, and abilities at a greater depth than a level 1 training program, the concepts of safety and preventing complications, communicating client responses to the nurse, and documenting/recording outcomes of client care.
